General Information

Gary and Sharon have been involved in Kickboxing for many years. From taking part in lessons and doing all the grades (9th Kyu-1st Kyu) including 1st Dan Grade to now teaching. Both have taken part in competitions, some serious, some fun.

After teaching for another club they decided to start up with their own club ‘Swaffham Kickboxing Club’, at Swaffham Leisure centre. They then approached Pete Parker-Coleman, who’s kickboxing reputation proceeds him, and asked him to join them, luckily he said yes. All three have different roles in Swaffham Kickboxing Club, Gary teaches line work (grades 9th – 1st Kyu_ to children and adults. Pete runs a boot camp, which involves a strick fitness workout and helps the students for competition. Sharon (Shaz) does all the paperwork and helps out when needed. All three also take part on the grading.

The Club runs every Monday at Swaffham Lesuire Centre, who also have helped in setting up the club.

S.K.C welcomes anyone male or female 6 years and above. You are welcome to come and have a look, or you can just turn up and take part (suitable clothes need to be worn) as the first lesson is free.

Membership is £30 which includes your license and a Swaffham Kickboxing Club t-shirt.

Pete is running a boot camp for these at Swaffham on a Monday, and also training them at his private gym, which also has a training ring. All have been involved in competitions before and we wish them all the best, we will be there on the night for support.

The club runs all year round apart from bank holidays and if you require extra training, this can be arranged. Before attempting any belt you will be given a pre-grade session to see if you are ready for it.

A skipping rope is a must as this plays a big part in kickboxing. Once you have joined you will need to get your own kit, which you order yourself, or have the club order it for you. A kit mainly comprises of: 10oz gloves, shin pads (soft ones, not football), mouthguard and footmits. There are always some you can borrow at first before splashing out on these. You will not be expected to take part in sparring when you first join.

Payment is made at the beginning of every month for the number of sessions in a month, e.g. June’s £25 per child, £20 per adult.

As our students progress in their grades they will be expected to take part in conducting the lesson.
